Just popping in quick to say hello. We have a rather busy week here in Kent. I have various appointments with midwifes and consultants and physio, but apart from that we are expecting three containers of stock to be delivered on various days!!!!!!! Busy Busy Busy.
I hope you all had a great bank holiday weekend (well for those of you in the UK).
I received a lovely item in the post last week from Angelina of http://nestajackson.blogspot.com/ I won a giveaway. I am very pleased and excited about this. However, I have used her picture as my camera is not working very well at the moment.
As soon as I have my nursery up and running I will take a piccie of it in situ.
I will try and post some pics later this week of WIP's and the embroidery I am doing.
Have a good week everyone
Love Clare xx

Excitability - Swap
I had a little arrival this week! No not the baby. I have done a swapsie with Fiona from Patchwork Delights http://patchworkdelights.blogspot.com/
I sent her a cushion cover which can be found at this post http://greenfrogcrafts.blogspot.com/2010/08/cushion-cover-ooh-la-la.html and she has sent me a custom made cafetiere warmer! It is fantastic and I am so over the moon with it. I have taken lots of snaps of it. If you want one of these, or one of her other fantastic items pop over to her blog where you will find details of her online shop. It is all beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. Aren’t I a lucky gal!

Progress
Some progress on my snugly bed blanket!
I'm enjoying doing this as it is always nice to make something so easy and simple and am thinking as it is for my bed I may add some flowers. What do you think?
I mentioned in my last post I had turned the original blanket into a cushion cover - here it is.
Several of you have also asked if I would give some instructions for my crochet hook roll.
Of course I will be delighted to write a little tutorial. I might also add this is the most simple easy peasy thing I have ever made. With my sewing skills being the most basic I should have some ability to write clear and concise instructions. However, they will probably not have the correct 'sewing terms'. I will do my best and will hopefully post this next week.
Take care my lovelies

New Week - New beginnings .....................................
Well, as I thought. I really was pleased to put Mr Sunday to Bed. However, waking up on Monday didn't seem much better.
Last week was horrible. I am truly at that stage of pregnancy that is well, my words are not printable but let's just say I don't like it.
I have a trapped nerve in my back, added to another back problem and am struggling to move and in constant pain. I saw my Midwife last week and Consultant and both told me It will now be fine to take co-codomol for pain control as paracetamol does nothing. Well it turns out I am allergic to co-codomol and was very ill for a few days. My little boy looked so worried about his Mummy. I feel massive and my clothes are too tight and riding up too high! Now I'm just moaning!
Well you would think that was enough for one week - but no. Little man has tonsillitis again, this is the fourth time in 6 weeks. They seem to think this is perfectly normal in an under 5 and his tonsills will stay enlarged now? I asked if he could be referred to an ENT specialist and was told basically not until he is over three years old and that I am worrying over nothing. I felt like saying well then you stay up half the night with him, when he is crying and in pain with a temperature! Hence not a great deal got done last week. Little man is better this week but not right by a long shot.
Then to top the lot we ran out of dog food, so a new sack was bought and unloading into the hallway. I noticed something crawling around the sack - Oh My God it was infested with baby cockroaches - I was not best pleased as you can image. I got on the phone to the pet shop and made them come out and take it away! I'm still itching just thinking about it.
I did manage to make myself a crochet hook roll which I am very proud of. I have even made one for Mum, but she won't get to see it until her Birthday in October.
I have started on a blanket for my bed. The original blanket I was making has been turned into a cushion cover - got fed up with it.
On a brighter note my beloved other half has been decorating. With the arrival of tiny feet due in about 10 weeks we decided to move bedrooms. Still a bit more work to do but looking good. We have even retrieve some very old g-plan furniture which belonged to David's parents when they first got married. It needs a bit of attention but I'm liking the shabby vintage look of it. All we need to do now is decorate our old bedroom for little man to go into and give the nursery a lick of fresh paint. I am gradually adding colour as most of our rooms are painted white.
Hope you all have a good week.

As I was taking pics, new book arrived last week Crochet motifs, one of the chickens was looking through the window at me and Pickles one of our jack russels kept looking at the camera so I had to take one of him.
Hope you all have a good week.

Blogger Award
I must say a really big thank you to Clara http://clarascrochetroom.blogspot.com/ for this my lovely award.
Isn't it funny how something nice like this happens just when you need it. It has been such a bad week. Oh Yes Indeedy it really has been one of those weeks. So much so that I will be really pleased to put Mr Sunday to bed and wake up ever so early and fresh with Miss Monday Morning. So this really is a big Thank You!
Having this award means I have to tell you five things about me and then I can pass my award on to five other deserving bloggers.
1. I wish I had pigs, in fact I wish I had pigs, some sheep and a lot of land - in actual fact I have three chickens - Lady, Maggie and Ginger and three dogs, Murphy, Spot and Pickles - yes it is a mad house
2. Before I fell pregnant in 2007 I used to run for Cancer Research, something I wish to get back to next year. I started doing this when my darling Dad was first diagnosed with Breast Cancer.
3. I once abseiled down the building I used to work in. The organisers said they had never seen anyone do it so fast especially for their first time. I was desperate for a wee. I had waited in line at the top of the building for 3 hours. Speed was a necessity!
4. I used to design street furniture including dog waste bins, then I went to work in the sewerage and water department at consulting engineers - Bit of a Crappy theme going on !
5. At the age of 7 I sat on the floor with my old singer sewing machine and lost the needle. I couldn't find it anywhere. 2 days later I was in so much pain with my foot it had to be x-rayed. Yes they found that sewing machine needle it had entered at the heel and they operated and removed it by my big toe. I hadn't felt a thing. No sense no feeling!
My award is now being passed on to:
1. The lovely Fiona @ http://patchworkdelights.blogspot.com/
2. Penelope by the Sea http://lisfourlove.blogspot.com/
3. Tania @ http://tanskiknits.blogspot.com/
5. Ruth @ http://cornpoppygirl.blogspot.com/
Enjoy your award girls you deserve it.
Once next week is here I will post an update on an awful week and a few projects done!
Lots of love

Picnic blanket and jewellery
A few pictures of some handmade necklaces. Still lots more to do just enjoy playing with buttons and beads.
The other is a picnic blanket using up lots of left over balls of wool.
Received a present in the post this week, ordered by my lovely man - a wool winder. I started winding yesterday and boy oh boy - have I got a serious stash problem. By winding it reduces the visible volume - Good job really - he will never know about my little addiction.
Have a lovely weekend everyone.

Cushion & Cover - Ooh la la!
The little man and I have been poorly for a couple of days, just a bug which was going around, but it knocked me off my feet, and he just wanted his mummy. Which was very nice. Lots of snuggling under blankets on the sofa and watching some pretty awful children's telly. We are well on the mend now.
The major problem I have at the moment is my back. It is very painful and I am really struggling with just everyday tasks.
I have managed to rest a lot and get on with some crochet and sewing, lots of which needs to be photographed and I plan to do that at some point this week.
I had a lovely comment from Clara at http://clarascrochetroom.blogspot.com about my doilies and as she suggested, I have put one onto a small cushion, teamed with with a panel of treble crochet and picot edging and a beautiful embroidered rabbit or should I say Le Lapin. I have gone very french vintage style with this one.
The very top left picture as you can see is my ever growing bump and one of the projects I am trying to get finished which I will show you all soon. The bottom middle picture is of Maurice the mouse which my mum knitted and I was ordered by little man to put him in a photo.
Well it has just started to Thunder - so I am going to turn off and cuddle my little man.
